Tim Erskine serves as the Program Manager for the Humanities for Everybody program and joined the Center for the Humanities at Western Michigan University in May of 2016. He works with University faculty and staff as well as the program’s community partners to ensure the successful day-to-day operation of the program. Tim attends each H4E class meeting and acts as a liaison between students and the course instructors
In addition to his role as Program Manager for Humanities for Everybody, Tim is a Ph.D. student in WMU’s Department of Spanish. His interests are in the teaching and acquisition of additional languages, and is interested in both cognitive and socio-political issues of multilingualism and language teaching. He has experience teaching the beginning and intermediate levels of Spanish at Western Michigan University, Kellogg Community College, and Kalamazoo Valley Community College. At KVCC, he also taught College Success Strategies, a course designed to engender social, emotional, and academic skills for non-traditional college students.

Dini Metro-Roland is an associate professor of educational studies at Western Michigan University. He received his doctorate in curriculum studies and philosophy of education from Indiana University. His recent publications touch on the themes of multicultural education, philosophical hermeneutics, and the pedagogical implications of online instruction. He is currently working with Dr. Paul Farber on a book that examines the qualitatively different forms of presence, authority and ethical relationships in online and traditional face-to-face instruction.
